Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Statement

It is the policy of the Department of Transportation (DOT) and the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) that disadvantaged business enterprises shall have the maximum opportunity to participate in the performance of contracts financed in whole or in part with Federal funds. Consistent with its overall policy for Affirmative Action, it is hereby declared that the Access Scioto County Public Transit (ASC) is committed to the utilization of Disadvantaged Business Enterprises as vendors, suppliers, and contractors in all aspects of procurement and contracting to the maximum extent feasible.

It being the objective of the Access Scioto County Public Transit (ASC) to utilize disadvantaged business enterprises to the maximum intent feasible, ASC has set a specific DBE goal. The annual goal for federal fiscal year 2022-2024 is 10% of federally funded contracts. Any ASC Contractor or any subcontractor at any time shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, or sex in the performance.
